Robin hopped around the yard today. Daffys already popping up. Crocuses in bloom. Swear I heard peepers today. It's March 9th only. We should be in deep winter with thawing just starting to take place in our usual turn into spring. Unreal, couple of weeks ago we were like -14 degrees one day, today we hit 69; an 83 degree difference inside of a month!

So pensive over the weather change, I look outward on the Net to monitor the activities of my fellow humans in general and my country-persons in particular.

Politics is still a terrifying prospect. What's going on? Trump victory speech turns into 2-hour steak selling ad? Marco Rubio tanking which seems to make it Trump and Cruz. Facist or Religious Right?

Shot her in the back while with her in the car. Lotsa questions being asked. How did the kid get a loaded gun in that car?

Then my conspiracy eyes see that the CDC is investigating a blood contamination bacteria possibly involved in the deaths of 18 people over the age of 65. Mini-test of something designed to cull the elderly? Treated as drains on resources?

Era-changing events occurring  all around us. Everything is in turmoil. I think that may be where all those Trump supporters are coming from. They've been squeezed and squeezed. Their jobs disappeared overnight. Gigantic companies that generated thousands of job at decent pay moved to low-cost countries so corporate officers and share-holders could increase their own economic rewards. All that loyalty to company goals got those people nothing. Sorry we sent your job oversees but if you can't find a new comparatively low-paying job in the service industries, you can always go on our safety net of welfare. Except we are going to cut those benefits because anyway. Fuck you.

I think they are so desperate to keep from sinking that they are clawing for someone they perceive as one who already beat "that crowd". But it's getting to be scarily like dictators of yore.
